I am Varcor, the proud son of Varanjar warriors. I my family has been supplying gems of quality to Master Lin since before my father was born. My birth name was Thorke, but when I got to town there were too many Thorkes around, so I changed it to Varcor.

Derogar's Post

When I came of age, I was sent to Derogar for seasoning. He began my training and I have been passed around the post to various people, all of whom have things for me to do. I was moved when Shaman Sandara initiated me as a hunter and when Telorshed the Keeper aided my pass the Trials of Halgar, which began to prepare a place for me in the halls of Kortella when I finally leave this world.

Before being sent into Halgarad, I was sent to a couple of the battle lines.

Halgar's Sword

The Sword is the sothern battle line with the gnolls. I was assigned to scout out a cave, which turned out to be full of undead creatures. I also helped eliminate some of the foe.

Halgar's Shield

Thane Kojomash and some of the other soldiers asked for help preparing for an assault against the gnoll camp.

Southern Gate

I helped defend against the Bloodhowlers, a renegade group of Vulmane who are trying to destroy the peace between our peoples.

Starting Diplomacy

I have decided to learn the art of diplomacy from Eisa Var. She sent me on what seemed like a simple first project, which turned out to involve a deep devide between the Jarl and the Warlord; it appears they are being drawn apart by two factions of the Thestran Humans, Houses Remniol and Caberton. The warlord realizes he was unduely influenced by Caberton but sees no way out of the mess.

In the midst of this trouble, Shield Froyja, the Jarl's guard, asked me to look into a protection racket run by some of the soldiers (it appears the Cabertons are subverting the guards and who knows whom else). After seeing our report, the Warlord charged me with confronting the leading guards on his behalf and then making sure that the Cabertons don't return to Halgarad by having the Bloodhowlers attack them.

After helping the Jarl clear out the remaining Cabertons, he asked me to help ally Halgarad with House Remniol.

The Jarl has told me the attack on the Cabertons backfired and the townsfolk are turning against Dahknarg Clan. With a bit of fast talking, I was able to straighten things out and place the blame back on the Bloodhowlers. With that, the Jarl and Warlord are reconciled and I was rewarded for my efforts.

Starting Crafting

It is time to begin to work on my crafting. I intend to learn to build houses and so I am pursuing the Artificer's trade. We work with wood and stone and I will be starting out small with jewelry and learning as I go.
