ViewsThestran HumanFrom Vanguard WikiSpheres
[edit] DescriptionAs the dominant race on Thestra, the influence of the humans is felt on all corners of the continent. They lack the size of the lesser giants, the life span of the elves or the sturdy resilience of the dwarves but they make up for it with an overwhelming desire to succeed, a bold tenacity and perhaps most importantly, the ability to adapt. After the invading armies of undead razed their home city of Targonor, the humans moved north and rebuilt, founding the giant fortress city of New Targonor. This bastion of human achievement protects not only the humans but all the races of Thestra. While New Targonor is the pinnacle of human civilization, most are still born in small outlaying farming villages – such as Tursh. A Thestran human’s interests vary greatly and due to their versatile nature they often pursue a wider variety of professions than most other races. Thestran humans have been known to be Warriors, Paladins, Dread Knights, Rangers, Rogues, Bards, Clerics, Blood Mages, Sorcerers, Druids and Necromancers. [edit] Info

[edit] Introductory LetterHail, wanderer. You picked a fine time to show up here in our town of Tursh. One thing has lead to another, and now the Tursh Academy Tower has… exploded. Mass hysteria reigns, but I’m sure you’ll get to the bottom of the troubles here. Tursh may be a sleepy farming community, but the gods have seen fit to cluster on a myriad of troubles here. In addition to the tower, we have on our hands a recent undead awakening, and an influx of vicious redcaps – all running amok and harassing the citizens of our town. Some say there are even darker deeds taking place here, but that would require someone with a true adventuring spirit to look deeper. Our next-door neighbors, the halflings of Rindol Field, trust us to help guide them and keep this neck of the woods safe. The dwarves remain our staunch allies, as solid as the dam they built that keeps our valley dry and safe. Thestra is re-awakening, wanderer, and I wager someone with courage and determination could really make a dent in the fear and distrust that many of us feel. With the dwarves and elves at each other’s throats, it is we, the humans, who will chart the course of this continent. Indeed, the gods are watching us, for they know that where we go, all others will follow. Which will it be? Will we go to the light, or the darkness? Those who take the reins will decide. |
