Mounts

In a land as vast as Telon, mounted travel is a must in order to cover the great distances in a reasonable amount of time. There are many different types of mounts to be obtained in Vanguard, available on both land and in the air.

NOTE:Each race has a beginning Diplomacy quest that offers a mount as a final reward. You need to be level 10 or higher in adventuring or crafting to complete these quests.

By Air

Flying mounts are also available in Vanguard. You can truly set yourself freeâ„¢ as you take to the skies of Telon.

Types:

• Griffon
• Pegasus
• Wyrm
• Wyvern

By Land

Overland mounts are available at a relatively low level.

Types:

• Camel
• Horse
• Shadow Hound
• Unicorn
• City Faction Mounts

Equipment

Equipment can be acquired to offer various increases to your mount's attributes. Saddlebags provide additional storage space and can be purchased or crafted by leatherworkers. Barding provides an increase to your mount's stability, which lowers the chance of you being knocked off in combat. Increased stability brings with it decreased speed, which can be countered by different varieties of tack and horseshoes.

Vendors

There are various Mount Vendors scattered around Telon. You will usually find vendors for mount equipment near them. City Creature Handlers sell special mounts to those who have earned enough faction with their city and enough of their city's coins.
