Abilities
Mechanics
Solo
Dread Knight is a very good class for soloing. It combines strong melee attacks, and through the use of shadow step and harrow, the ability steal life from the enemy. You can also use your melee attacks to increase your Dreadful Countenance, which is a nasty little debuff that is put on the Offensive target. You get a small bar with bubbles by it on the top of your screen. When the bar fills, a bubble is filled -- putting one rank of Dreadful Countenance on the mob. Every bar you fill increases the rank of Dreadful Countenance on the mob, until you have the highest rank of Dreadful Countenance you know on the mob.
Tanking
Dread Knight is a great tank. Our taunt spell is named " Provoke " and the higher the rank of Dreadful Countenance on the mob, the more hate Provoke generates, thus using Vexing Strike on the mob ( because it hits faster than Malice..and adds more Dreadful Countenance ) to increase your Dreadful Countenance before using Provoke is a good way to get more hate.
