ViewsContinental StylesFrom Vanguard WikiSpheresEach continent, Kojan, Qalia, and Thestra, has its own style of crafting; each style provides a set of recipes for equipment, ships, and houses. As a crafter you automatically learn the standard recipes for your home continent; however, you must tour the other continents to learn to craft in their styles. These continental styles (crafting styles) affect the look-and-feel of the items crafted (a Thestran long sword is straight, a Qalian long sword is curved) and some of the magical effects provided by the items. Wearing items with the same style amplifies these magical effects: they increase as more items of that style are worn.
[edit] Continental Style QuestsBefore learning recipes for a continent, you need to perform a quest that involves learning from the leading artisans of the continent. You need to do this for each crafting tier. To begin the quest, you need sufficient faction with the continental crafters and before finishing the first one, you need to be able to walk into the major cities of the continent. Continental artisan faction can be earned by doing work orders in the cities and towns or in outposts; the locations and faction increments are shown in the Crafting Faction Tables. 100 continental faction is required for each tier:
If you are of sufficient faction to get the continental quests, the various crafting instructors on the continent will direct you to the staring NPC:
As a reward for doing the quests, you get +50 continental artisan faction towards the next tier. You can view your current faction levels using the /showfactions command. To be safe in a city, your city faction must be at least -7999 (-8000 or less and you will not walk out alive). [edit] Style Descriptions[edit] KojaniContinental Effect: Eila's Touch
