Re: Your Oblivion Experience
The fundimental in-game systems where no different between the two mediums of play (xbox and PC), so that dosn't really effect it either way.
As for the fallout series, It amazes me that once again, BethSoft makes a game where you started out as a prisoner. All of TES games had that, and now fallout?

Re: Your Oblivion Experience
i played for awhile, but the biggest thing that made me not want to play anymore was the combat, and this is a problem in almost all first person rpg's where you click to swing your sword, the combat; sure you can sneak up on them, shoot them with a bow, but once they notice you, unless you are a mage its click as fast as you can until they are dead, you could block and such, but in general it works just as well to click until they die. The only game of this sort that ive i played that DIDNT have this problem is Mount and Blade, and thats because its mounted combat so you tend to keep moving after you swing

Re: Your Oblivion Experience
hmmmm, mixed feelings really! very mixed feelings.
I've got quite a highend spec PC and did get quite alot of crash problems! Though I dont remember this being the reason I stopped playing it... I loved the storys and the fluid feeling of the game, I also liked the MMO style it had about it... Its biggest problem was that it just wasnt online!.. I know there are probably hundreds of patchs by now, and I think there are mods where you can play multi player.. I do agree with your list of dislikes, though I never really thought about them in such detail as you have... I think I was pulled away by another game at the time but do remember enjoying the few weeks I spent on it. |
