WoW: The Burning Crusade Delayed

Recent news as of today I believe , PR at Blizzard announced that WoW: The Burning Crusade will not make it's Christmas release deadline. It will be released Jan. 23rd 2007 for a price of $39.99 so everyone waiting on it will have to wait till after the new year. I highly doubt it will effect their sales at blizzard because people regardless of the release date will still be picking up this expansion. They said they had to delay the release because they had a tumultuous amount of bugs to work out. I say I rather them work out the bugs now then release a game riddled with bugs.

Not new, they are well known for delaying their releases to work on bugs. What will be new is if they actually succeed this time which I doubt.

Personally I think Blizzard really dropped the ball on their first expansion waiting over two years before issuing it.

I think they are delaying it because they want to build up hype, or that they wont be able to compete with other releases this holiday season.

I don't think they have any real hype issues to worry about. And waiting is just going to lose them sales in the long run, i can't see it being in any way benefical for them to wait on purpose. Anyway, all games have bugs, MMORPGs more then others. And besides, not to seem rude, but Wakygreek, didn't you already state your hate for WoW?

I dont hate wow, there are key things about it that im not a fan of. Since when does not liking an mmorpg mean that you cannot comment on it as far as profit and decisions they may make? Thats irelevant to the topic imo. Besides how many times have gamers hated a game, came back and played it again? Im not saying ill do that with wow but i have left EQ many times and have gone back to it many times, although i wont be going back to wow unless they change the game a little.

Re: WoW: The Burning Crusade Delayed

Ok...first things first, i'm a member of a number of forum sites and i just wanna let you in on a little tip. You don't have to quote the person right above you, it just really takes up space on the forums, and it looks kinda stupid, i mean people just read it and your making them read it again RIGHT away. Also, as far as you not being able to comment on the game cause you don't like it... i don't see me saying that, all i said was that you've already stated your opinion on the game, to the point that we already know your standing. I never said "don't post on this game anymore". So just take a step away from the screen and take a deep breath and relax, it's OK.

Re: WoW: The Burning Crusade Delayed

lol, my reading is fine, so if you need to go for it and reread whatever you need to. Anyway, back to the subject of this thread, i saw some people who were really pissed at blizzard for the delay, funny thing is that i'm pretty sure they are still gonna get it when it comes out.

Re: WoW: The Burning Crusade Delayed

they are going to make a profit due to the obvious..but wow will eventually die out little after that release imo..too little too late after 2 years of waiting.

Edit: Granted they did better then eq that they add alot more in patches. But i still think they should have at least added one new class to make the mix more fun.

Or at least an epic mob named "The White Rabbit" make it like the rabbit from Monty Pythons and the Holy Grail that would be a blast heh.
