unexplored peoples and possibilities in rpgs

this thread is dedicated to a historic peoples with unexplored rpg potential!
first of all: central asian steppe peoples, notably turkic nomads, ugrians, avars and mongols. there is a vast pool of tales and myths about all of these peoples. some of what they share: shamanism, a nomadic lifestyle, well-spoken-of skills as hunter and tamers of animals, highly developed art of war as well as beautiful artifacts, clothing, weapons, etc.
second, some more variety in the european-like peoples. we've seen the british (classic human civilisation in high fantasy), celts (often dwarves) and scandinavians (barbarians). but there is such an immense source of inspiration in current and historical peoples of europe - slavonic, baltic, finno-ugric, romance, etc. - hasn't anyone wondered why these are so overlooked compared to the ever-present brit-like humans in rpgs?

also, hey, all my respect to any person indentifying themselves with these (meta-)ethnicities. I mean no offense.

I would give anything to see the Nordic races instituted with a continent of their own. (it doesnt even have to be that big )

Odin and Thor ftw!
