New MMO on the move
While reading GU Comics I found out about a new MMO. Green Monster I though, probley some cheese MMO that won't get off the ground. That was until I read this.
"Green Monster Games, LLC is preparing to burst onto the online gaming scene in epic and remarkable fashion. A company founded on character and integrity, GMG will turn the industry on its ear with a product release and business model never before seen. Todd McFarlane (yes, the Todd McFarlane of www.spawn.com fame) is serving as GMG's Art Director. R.A. Salvatore (yes, the R.A. Salvatore who created the world's most famous dark elf found at www.rasalvatore.com), is GMG's Creative Director. Collaborating with GMG President Curt Schilling (he of the 2004 curse-breaking Red Sox and avid hardcore MMOer), this trio is assembling the world's most creative talent to produce what will be seen as the most epic, industry-changing game in the history of online gaming." O WOW... I'm sure it's in the very early stages, but that's alot of big name pepole. The talent level is there to make a great game. Can't wait to here more about it Aadwen |

Interesting. Greenmonstergames.com and Greenmonstergames.net appear to be registered by different individuals. Not a name I would have expected to be taken.

Hubby told me about this the other day. Baseball player turned gamer = new game company + remarkable talant = .....
This could be interesting! I know they're looking for people now, too!

Big names certainly but that leaves them a long way from making games. They do have the flashy PR Dept already. So far they plan to use the Gamebryo (Oblivions) graphic engine. I almost fell out of my chair after reading that.It takes gumption to suggest that type of quality with 20 plus players and additional mobs on your screen. They just may bear watching in 3years give or take.

Curt played both EQ and EQ2, I believe, this is interesting that he is getting into game development.
I'm sure he has the cash to bankroll the development........................ |
