Dont go back to WOW

Hey everyone,

Stay away from wow, the game isnt worth it. Who cares that they are comming out with 2 new races in the expansion. The whole point of being horde or alliance was the difference in class and even then it wasnt a big difference in battles. PVP for WOW is horrible to, lets start with contested territories...lets see a lvl 60 NE rogue or undead rogue camping your corpse for hours when for example your in the yeti caves back in TM or SS depending on your faction. Aside from that lets say PVE server BG, you just get paladin geared out in full t3 gear and just honor farm for hours untill you force the match closed by leaving or waiting for the timer..its rediculous. They needed RVR in WOW with taking over cities towns siege wpns things like what they had in DAOC that would have made the game alot more fun. WOW btw also doesnt promote groups...if you call a few instances at high level promotion then good luck finding groups if your a class that isnt needed for that instance lol. If you think raids will save the game then lets talk about that for a second...some raids require anywhere from 3-5+ hours depending on who your going with their level and the gear they have. Now it would be nice if every player could commit to sitting infront of your PC for that long...but lets face it if your married or working or at school and you need to be somewhere thats not very realistic...especially when you make it to the final boss of the raid and you all wipe and the shaman forgets to buy ankhs lol...Anyway the most annoying part of the game is the kids that play it...it attracts a younger crowd that thinks they know everything and end up whiping everyone out for the dumbest reasons...we need a game like EQ IMO or VG thats somewhat difficult and has a consequence when you perish against your enemy...beause most ppl in WOW i dont care who you are, know for a fact that you have become soft playing this game, cause the only problem when you die is reduction % on armor from pvp death or mob death. LOL so please if your out there forget about WOW and go to either VG or Warhammer ftw =D

Wow. Did you register just to post all of that stuff about WoW on a vanguard forum?

Many of the concerns you list, such as getting corpse camped, not being able to raid because of time constraints, and most especially, farmers, are issues you'll have in any game, including Vanguard and Warhammer.

You also complain about WoW being too hard?? (wiping on the last boss, etc). It is the expectation that VG will be even harder. Then you complain about WoW having no death penalty. I'm lost here.

WoW wasn't the game for you. Okay, no problem.

yes - Vangard touts itself as being the hardest and the best game/mmo in development - hardest as a good thing because thats what people want.

I understand your frustration Wakygreek, but u may want to go to single user games and stay away from mmo's for a while if thats where ur coming from.

On the other hand relax and try to have a good time and think zen thoughts - that should get u through this rough patch lol

Yeah really not appropriate to berate a game because you don't like the flow of pretty much all MMO's. If you play Vsoh you'll still have childish people playing, you'll still sit a hour waiting for something to happen, you'll still complain about content, because the fact that videogames aren't designed to your exact wants and desires, they are created for a broader crowd.

WoW has alot of good attributes to it, and some bad (all games do). You mentioned spending 3 to 5 hours playing a game, well I think if you're wanting to get to high end content of a game that's a price you're willing to pay because you're not spending it you're enjoying it. It's not just this genre you'll encounter that in, many games have long play periods.

Alot of people have complained about the age of other players in WoW, well you're gonna find young players in any game, even if the game had a mature rating slapped on it. Kids will find a way to play the game they want to play no matter what restrictions are placed on it , a direct parallel would be underaged drinking. I myself have never been hindered by the age of another player, maybe it's a combination of how you're you, and they are behaving that has caused confusion and trouble for you.

Though I bid you good luck in finding the appropriate game for you buddy, but I'll stick to WoW it's not a bad game at all to me.

Ok first off, this is forum last i checked we can post our opinions, i dont dislike all MMO's and ive seen people list things about MMORPG's as well on here, last i checked im allowed to my opinion no need for any of you to rate it. Yes i have issues with all mmo's as we all do thats for sure. I dont reply to your threads by judging you i prefer the same respect.

I respect that you have opinions Wakygreek. But we are also a community that values respect and constructive ideas. So starting off with a post telling people not to play something seems a bit aggressive for starters.

Generally the criticism here is that I would prefer a thread has a purpose beyond its initial post. If the purpose is to rant about a game, I wouldn't expect much of a reply other than people stating their own opinions on your opinions and so forth.

There's already a thread for discussing the WoW expansion, so i'm going to close this one up since I don't see it continuing well.
