The "gold box" AD&D games, especially the Krynn series.
Ultima III, IV, and V.
Enchanter, Sorcerer, and Spellbreaker (Infocom games -- back when thinking didn't require graphics).

Privateer (only 1 really)

Legacy Of Kain series (amazing storyline throughout all the games)
X series (my kinda game, especially X3)
Hitman series (something about chucking a guy down the drain in 1 that got me hooked)
Capitalism series (both 1 and 2 were great fun)
Imperium Galactica (One was amazing in its time. Took me three straight months to finish)
Freespace series (1 was great, 2's storyline and atmosphere was impressive)
I-War series (With its crazy newtonian physics. One was best though. More exciting)
EECH/EEAH (Best helo sim ever created, EECH 2 is on the way this year too, yay!)
Falcon series (2 was dodgy, 3 was fun, 4 just beats everything)
Cyberstorm (1 and 2, both underdogs, both very fun turn based strategy)

I think that's it. Notice I'm lacking in recent games aside from the new Hitman. Strange, not much has taken my fancy recently. I prefer strategy and simulations, but it's nice to go on a psycho one killing things every now and then. We need more strategy and sims, especially helo sims, so get buying

I'm also starting to notice that I have very different tastes to the majority of the MMO community. I think I'm gettin' old.

Legend of Zelda (Alltho I've never really got THAT fondness for Zelda II)
Final Fantasy (1-7, 6 beeing one of the BEST rpgs ever made imo, 8 beeing crap, 9 fine, 10 okayish, never bothered with X-2 or 11, and 12 looking pretty neat (playig it atm ^^))
Chrono Cross/Trigger (Lovely music. Loved the story.)
Seiken Densetsu (Legend of Mana) (Awesome series, 2 beeing best as you could play 2 player mode)
Resident Evil (All but the breakout ones as I haven't played 'em, oh and that crappy gun survivor)
Police/Space quest, Roger Wilco, Leisure Suit Larry (Remember me and a mate starting up Leisure Suit Larry on his older brothers Amiga 500 and trying to get past those questions ensuring you're over 18. We were around 12. ^^)
Diablo (I actually got dissed by all my friends when I 1st bought it. But they learned! Muhahahahahaha!!!)
Alien vs Preditor (For the pure reason you can play Alien!!!)
Castlevania 1&2 (Whip it!)
Metroid (All)(So many hours spent on not taking so many hours finishing to get that special ending)
Ico & Shadow of the Collosus (I count them as a series as they're same same, but different. ^^ Complicated simple. Just love it)
Metal Slug (A bunch of beers, a pizza and Metal Slug and it's Friday anyday!)
House of the Dead (One of the best arcade shooters! Spent way to much money on those games. >.< )

Age of the Empires - Real Time Strategy really have to think through all your stuff. It's also has great history lessons tied in.
