Re: Favorite game series?
lol me and my brothers still play Tecmo Super Bowl over the net sometimes (using an emulator obviously). That game was the sh*t. First really good player creator system, plus fun stats, full length seasons, and customizeable play books.

Re: Favorite game series?
You are the first person I've ever seen say he liked FF2.

Re: Favorite game series?
King's Quest. I think I first played number 3 or 4, but I now have the collector's set so I can go back to any of them whenever I like. It's nice to play a puzzle type game rather than a hack-n-slash for a change, thought they did move that way by the time the series ended. And they weren't easy puzzles either; I don't think I was able to solve a one of them without a hint or spoiler along the line. It's a shame the company went under.

Re: Favorite game series?
You may think this is just for fun, but not I REALLY loved these things - remember there was nothing like this before:
Zork I-III (and if you want to extend 'series' to one genre from one pub, then the whole Infocom - Enchanter/Deadline/Witness/Forgot the flying saucer? Planetfall?/Hitchhiker etc) The old Ultima Series, I didn't really play I / II only III-6. Bards Tale. THE AWESOME SSI series: Pool of Radiance (orig) / Curse of the Azure Bonds / etc. Total War is great. Leisure Suit Larry I-III Police Quest I/II ... didn't play 3 I don't think (Space Quest was fun but for some reason I can barely recall it now...) Warcraft of course rocked. Wish I could say Total Annihilation rocked as a series, but only as the first game ;P Well lunch is nearly over - can't think more... EDIT: Civilization! ya, you are right. Also - I liked alot the MS Age of Empires, tho bought it never really tried the Colonial one. |
