WoW: The Burning Crusade

Well I quit WoW about 4 months ago from today because of hardware issues and lack of friends but when they release WoW:TBC I will get a new comp w/ microphone so I can play hardcore again, I want to make a blood elf rogue and go all the way with it. What I want to know is anyone else getting this game/expansion and what are you looking foward to most about it?

Chances are quite high that I will be getting that expansion as will the majority if not all of my guild members. The thing I am most looking forward to again is new group content. Theres very little to do these days when we arent raiding so it will be quite refreshing to have new places to go with a small group to just relax and unwind. I'll also enjoy the extra levels and new talents as well.

I personally am tempted to get it... mainly because WoW has excelled when it comes to solo/group content at low levels. By adding the two new races, that means two more new character progressions to try out.

On the other hand, everyone and their mom is going to be trying them out upon release of the expansion

I haven't played WoW very much over the past couple of months but I am tempted to get TBC just becauce of a lack of anything better to play.

Yes it's true everyone and their mum will be playing the new races upon release, but I'm not worried about that I'm gonna take my rogue serious where so many won't and will eventually fade back to their mains. The new content is gonna make the game more appealing to folks who said that the game didn't have enough raid content, whereas it is getting quite close to EQ in raid content, all they need is to let adventurers willing to die alot get their filthy mits on the gates to the Frozen Throne so we can really get our rumps handed to us by the Lich King himself Arthas... that would rock so hard.

...not everyone. I'm still messing with the progression server in EQ. Not sure for how much longer. Seems it's starting to do what everyone was afraid of

Have they even hinted at a release date? Last I heard, VG still had a chance to beat it to market.

As far as what would be best about it, population equalization (well, actually, I expect the horde to outnumber the alliance - at least at first), more group content, and the possiblity of the old raid content becoming 1 or two group content (because you'll be level 70).

Hmm...this brings a question to mind that I think Ill ask everyone...
Anyway, Im planning on playing when the expansion comes out, but if they dont do some major improvments to the overall gameplay...vanguard might be the only mmo getting my money in 2007

If, i can come across a new computer and get a job to pay for the monthly fee, i can see myself getting it, playing with a pal of mine would be the big catch, as well as continuing the Warcraft stort, started with Warcraft 1 way back in the day.

If you can play WoW now, you shouldnt need a new machine for hte expansion. All rumors point to a late November release of the game.
