Re: Outfitter Recipes

Well the Artificer table looks fine. I don't know if there is any variance in level of purchase and level of difficulty for them at any point though, where as I do know that there is for Outfitters and this will need to be labeled.

Looks like by default that you’re going by level of purchase. I still think that it will be more useful for us to know level of difficulty and that we order it by that. But I can go in afterwards and put in lvl of difficulty afterwards.

Re: Outfitter Recipes

I added the purchase level to the recipe template (the other level was always the recipe level).

I think the tier 1 outfitter levels were all (except maybe the first few) recipe levels when last I played with it.

EDIT: I agree that the recipe level is the more important level and probably deserves to be the one in the table.

Re: Outfitter Recipes

There is no place in the UI that tells you the recipes level though, so how are you determining this value?

Re: Outfitter Recipes

The only way that I know of to determine the level of difficulty of a recipe is in the purchase window for recipes. When you are in the purchase window the level of difficulty is listed on the recipe then. We all hope that at some point they will put that info on the recipe. But it doesn't seem to be a high priority.

So what we really need is for people who are buying recipes to go through the ones they can see on the instructor and update both the purchase and actual recipe levels on the recipe pages (or even if you have enough energy start recipe pages for some of the others using the RecipeInfo template).

Also make sure the recipes are listed in the table by actual levels (I think that was the consensus of those posting here).

I wish it were that easy. Just the level of difficulty is listed, not the level of purchase. So yes it is that easy to get the level of difficulty, but you have to go through lvl by lvl and see what actually becomes available for purchase. Major pain, though there is some symmetry.

I hate to nick pick, but some may not at a glance know what “actual levels” means. This is where we have to be very careful with words. The tables need to be clearly labeled.

I was also thinking that due to how much of a pain this all is that we should have both level requirements posted on the table, either by adding a column or by including the lvl that we are not ordering the table by in brackets at the end of the name of the recipe.

e.g. Level of Difficulty | Material Preparation | Outfitting | Leatherworking | Tailoring
Note number in () next to a recipe is the level at which the recipe can be purchased. If no such number exists then assume that the data needs to be verified, also check the item link its self as it may be listed there.
So the recipe, "Ratty Chest Segment" would then look something like "Ratty Chest Segment(18)" Where 18 is the level of purchase.

Any way you look at it, a ton of work.

It has been a bit since I last looked, but I thought the purchase level was easily visible on the list of recipes you can't yet purchase and the level of difficulty for those was visible if you examine the recipe.

As for the rest, I can live with both levels in the table, but I was hoping we could just hide the purchase level on the individual recipe pages. And yes, I don't think I would have used the word "actual" if I was actually writing the page, what you have makes sense.

Re: Outfitter Recipes

Another thought just occured to me about the purchase lvl. Do we list it as the lvl listed, which in some cases does not match what is actually true do to Tier restrictions? Or do we want to put the purchae lvl equal to the true lvl that it can be purchased?

I would vote for true (these are probably left over from when the tier quests were at 10, 20, ... instead of 11, 21, ...).
