One skill not mentioned is the overall Harvesting Skill. My understanding is this controls what harvesting you can participate in on a group level (as long as you have the tool). Also group harvesting isn't mentioned at all. It is very effective to group harvest as it can dramatically increase yield. Also two people harvesting for example jute together who both have the reaping skill get faster skill ups than if they harvest solo.

I can add this info to the wiki but not sure where it best fits? Any suggestions?

Probably should make a section on the main Harvesting page dealing with group harvesting details. It looks like someone unlocked the page just now when I went to go look at it so you should be able to add the section on your own. Anybody know where the harvesting instructors and vendors are located?

I've looked all over Tanvu and can't find an instructor. Did find the vendor by the entrance from the newbie area.

Be nice to start a list of locations somewhere, but I don't know anything about wiki

the harvesting instructor is in a open sided hut on the outskirts of Tanvu. you can see one of the entrances to tanvu in the distance is all i remember. just search the outskirts for a guy standing under a roof by a field.

I feel too new to be editing wikis just yet. However, I keep seeing the primary/secondary question pop up again and again on most sites I visit - people think there's some sort of bonus to a skill being primary, and/or penalty to secondary, or other associated weirdnesses. As far as I know, the primary/secondary nomenclature is purely cosmetic - it doesn't matter which skill you pick as primary and which as secondary. They level independently and do not affect each other in any way.

Many people seem to think you need to pick a primary skill to match your crafting profession, or that the secondary skill levels more slowly (and other such misconceptions). If someone less rambly than me wants to clarify that, it might help in the long run.

We might want a "How Do I Change My Skills" section too. There's no penalty for doing so other than the loss of whatever skill you're replacing. I can't recall if you lose your "Harvesting" skill gains too - it's been too long since I tried, though iirc in theory you shouldn't lost Harvesting skill points. I *do* remember that changing skills displayed a number of bugs when I was last seriously testing, like losing all secondary skill points when you were changing a primary skill.

I did a bit of harvesting, and if there was a penalty, I wasn't seeing it. Both of my skills progressed evenly as long as I used them both equally.
