For a Warrior of Vanguard, what else matters? Thoughts?

Mitigation matters.
HPs matter.
Useful roles even when multiple tanks are in a raid/group matters.
Equality in tanking but difference in feel from the other tanks matters.

For a while I heard about a rev for CoH that was supposed to include a power called "Heroic Stand", basically a last ditch effort where you know you are about to die, but when you toggle it, it maxes your HP's for a specific amount of time. If the enemy has not been killed or you have not been healed when the timer runs out, you die....instantly.

I like the idea of equality in tanking, but what bothers me is the candy coating. Balance the different tanks, but make sure that each tank's class abilities aren't just renamed or edited powers.
If I Knee Bash as a warrior, don't give a Paladin Crippling Bash that does the same thing as knee bash...gahh I'm rambling...sorry

No, I agree with you here - while I have no issue with tanks all doing the role equally ('cos, well, yay) but they need to be distinct and not "Warriors with the same move with Holy / Dark infront of the name"

I am all for equality in tanking, but honestly thats gonna be a hard one to pull off by any game designers so we shall see what happens. For me it really comes down to this. At the end of the night when I get finished bashing some skulls in and takeing names I want to feel like a Hero. I also want to feel unique, but then again who does'nt? It is settleing that there will not be as many fighters classified to do the heavy duty tanking such as another game out there right now. Months after release It makes me feel more assured that I will be needed to do a job instead of competing with so many.

For me, I'm a grindaholic. I play rpg's mostly for the grind. However, I can be very competitive (perhaps too competitive) and end up grinding a little too much. The loot is nice but more of a fluff for me. The exp in my bar is what makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Knowing that the denizens of an entire dungeon are now trapped inside my exp bar tickles me pink. What can I say? I love to turn creatures into convenient size exp packs.
