Far, far too early for that - the game won't be out this side of August (I suspect - we're in Beta 2 of 4 right now). All we know about servers is there will be a PvP one at launch, we don't even know if there will be a RP server which is a little worrying...

From my eq1 days I always think of a warrior as a dw barbarian. Not really sure why but thats always what pops in my head.

Well, you can scratch the dual wield part of that. It was confirmed at Fanguard that none of the heavy fighters will be able to dual wield.

Thats fine with me due to the fact that the heaviest type of shield will be comparable to the defense of a Breastplate.

what?! warriors can't dual wield? oh come on people. this upsets me =| i guess i'll be torn between a tank and a DPS class after all. probabally a rog.... maybe a monk.... i wanna wield 2 swords though O.O ohwell. that makes chosing between dual wielding and a shield / sword that much easier.

no dual wield... i'll settle for a huge 2 handed sword with a spiff particle effect O.O the guy in the lore dual wields though! i read it myself! flaw in the lore, im telling you....

The fact is in any game that a warrior who is dual wielding and being the active MT will take more damage when compared to a warrior who uses a shield. I would understand dual wielding in a group or on a raid when your tank isn't the MT. However, a shield wielding tank is more viable than the suicidal dual wielders who think they can tank just as well.
