Stances and gear

Is there or are there going to be a way we can link changing our stances to different sets of gear? I know with defensive stance a shield is really handy to have. But also other items more geared for there specific use. Example. Change out a 200 ac BP with 200 hps for a 150 ac bp 20dex/str and so on.

I know offensive stance is what I use for soloing. I mostly end up using defensive for groups, for aggro purposes. Is there any kind of hotkey or macro we can make to switch out some of our armor and our shield and weapon all at once? Would make this even more ideal and pratical. There could be something and I just don't know it yet but I have looked everywhere.

As for my first post on these Forums I am currently level 14 and I have every intention of taking this warrior to the end of the game with me. I would also like to thank those at Vanguard and Sigil for putting together such a wonderful game. It has its share of bugs and glitches...but as someone who has played many MMO's and from the beginning..you guys are doing a wonderful job...keep up the good work and I believe you guys have gone above and beyond the call of duty. This game is so awesome and life-like. I come home from work. Put my headset on and im able to escape the riggers and hassle of everyday life for as long as I want! Its almost like a drug. Good work! Once the bugs get worked out...it will be one of the most impressive compilations of programming I have ever seen for sure!

The /wear command allows you to switch items about - I experimented with it in beta and it does work, but you'll have to update your macro's each and every time you get new gear.

There is a /command to change stances, /combatformset, but the syntax escapes me at the moment and I'm not near Vanguard to check. I suspect it's the name of the stance though.

EXP: 47%
Its

/combatformset "Offensive"
/combatformset "Defensive"

I believe they have to be capitalized.

Another handy macro I wrote is similar to Bandoliers in EQ1

DW (for Dual wield)

/wear "Sword A" primaryhand
/wear "Sword B" secondayhand

2hs (for greatsword)

/wear "2h Sword" primaryhand

Shield

/wear "Sword A" primaryhand
/wear "Shield" secondaryhand

Note: the names of the items in the hotkey have to EXACTLY match what the name shown on the items info box.

I just suggested at vgsohinterface.com that someone create something like WoW's ItemRack. The problem becomes that you cannot script to auto change to a defensive gear set when in Def stance and to Alternate Gear Sets when in others. This could also be used for situational Diplo gear.

What if you have 2 weps of same name? It's not equipping the 2nd one.
