K I read the replys. I didnt say that the skill was balanced or unbalanced given its pros and cons. What I did say was, this attack, with its low refresh, low end cost, and high chain start capability means, it is used over pretty much any other skill. Sure you can use devistating blow to root the mob. Can even use shield bash and kick to interrupt casters. But in general you are using leap attack 10/1 over any other skill just because of its chain abilities and this causes other skills to be used, never.
1 attack that makes 2 other dmg abilities and all of thier upgrades subpar even at lvl 50, is broken. Thats not to say i dont want to keep the ability. Just saying it cant be intended as is. |

Man exactly venge. Thats the problem. the animation sucks. The mechanics of it sucks. Its annoying as hell. And its a skill that negates at least 2 other dmg attacks and thier upgrades because why use them when an ability with less end cost nets you a chain start?
We shouldnt have to be jumping monkeys in plate armor just to start a chain. Thats the whole argument in a nutshell. Again, moving its property to start chains to rend armor and its upgrades make ten times the sense than current mechanics. |

However i find it necessary at times, especially when duoing for the increased DPS through Decimate. Even when soloing though it's cause for severe frustrations leap frogging all the time, or back peddling while it's charging.

I flat out dont like it, increased dps or not, and rarely use it. Its just annoying, period. Jumping ten feet beyond the mob, and then having to turn around to use your finisher, if it triggers, is just a pain in the you know what. If this is supposed to be a core warrior skill, then my warrior will be put in moth balls.

fwiw, this ability is the #1 reason I am not a warrior in release, though I was in beta.
I understand the crit rate. That bonus makes it too good not to use. The animation and mechanics of the jump makes it too annoying to use. So I have an aggravating mechanic forced on me if I want to be effective? I'll pass. |

I found out the real use for this ability. Make your groupmates laugh so hard they cry.
Last night I was in a dungeon and it was so dark, I kind of didn't see the ledge on the other side of the mob. Hit leap attack, and over I went.... only to go splat on the dungeon floor below. ops: |

Personally, I absolutely love it. It takes some practice and probably some key mapping changes as well, but once you've got it all down its very easy to pull off. It keeps things interesting for me, and makes it so the game isn't simply about mashing buttons, it actually takes some player skill to pull off well.
To get the most use out of it, this is what I do: 1. Key binding: set a button on my mouse to activate my finisher. 2. Back pedal about 1.5 steps before activating the ability, this will keep the mob in melee in range for the others, so long as they know to be close when I start using it. 3. Activate leap attack, continue pressing the backwards button. 4. Land right in front of mob, ready to use a chain normally. I rarely over leap, and when I do, it isn't by a very much. I can reposition quickly enough that it isn't an issue, and because my finisher is on my mouse, I can turn and use it immediately.
