Current warrior chains
While testing in beta and sifting through so much wrong info on the warrior class I have one central question that maybe a class lead could answer.
I know that to start chains your openers have to crit, but in testing I have found that the later chains Obliterate and the next one wont light up to be usable unless Decimate crits also. If this is how the chains are intended to be for the warrior they are very lack luster. I can play a 4 or 5 hour session and only get obliviate to light up once or twice at best and have had periods where it never came up. Almost seems like a person would have a better chance at winning a lottery then ever getting full chains off. I have also tested the dreadknight and their chain does not require the first finisher to crit to get the others to go and that seems like a better set up If the warrior chains are currently working like they should heck what is the point? A person could go back to playing the older games if they wanted just chance damage I mean really.. you have to get crits all in a row seems to be an extreme longshot. Maybe someone who would know could post whether this situation is intended or just a fix that needs to be done. |

Well I guess the main point i was trying to make is that the dreadknight chains do not require the first finisher to crit to get the 2nd one to light up and so on. And also talking to someone who tested out the ranger they too do not require the first finishing move to crit and so on. All the dex in the world is not going to give all that much to trying to crit multiple times in a row on a consistant bases. I dont know about everyone else but i like atleast some control over the things i can do rather than chance stuff.

From what I can tell, every race looks pretty much the same if you're trying to go for a balanced tank. Obviously if you want to specialise in one particular attribute to the detriment of the others then you will have a preferred race, but playing with the stat calculator pretty much every race ends up with the same attributes if I try to get a nice balance.
I guess this means I'll choose my warrior based on the way they look and their racials ![]() |

Don't feel too special about this issue. Every one has an ability like this. That is why they are called "Chains". For the Dread Knight, we get 2 finishers called Wrack and Ruin. Wrack will open right after a normal ability crit, and Ruin opens after Wrack crits. They are designed to be extremely powerful abilities when the situation is right... not an endless supply of DPS for you. To make it worse of course is that if you are a mindless button masher, you can pretty much bet that you will never see a second stage finisher in action, because it can be overwritten just like any other finisher.
Not every single ability you are granted has to be available on demand for total button mashing jackassery.
