I hope the + Block Chance is meaningful. One hander plus shield is my favorite combo! Plus Block, aggro and mitigation for defensive stance, I like what I am seeing. Here is hoping for more defensive fighter info...
Zidac Warrior of Ex Umbris p.s. Nice site! Thanks for putting this together for us. |

To me , these stances as where they tend to be more thought through and better planned currently than they were in WoW. They seem to follow the same basic principle that any tank class should follow.
That being, For a MT type tank in a group or raiding sitution, they are not going to want to fight with the rest of the tank type classes for agro , but with everyone else who is a tank type they should have the ability to do some damage. I just hope that with VG, it will better built on the back side than currently developed in WoW or EQII Brennus |

Stances
Yeah, the stances are certainly very cool. It'd be neat if the offensive stance had +crit or somesuch. I figure the offensive stance is mostly just a small bonus to heavy fighters not tanking, as it seems like for any other situation you'd much rather take defensive.

Offensive Stance
+ accuracy, - mitigation, - agro When playing in an offensive (non-tanking) role, the new warrior is granted bonuses to combat, and has a variety of attacks available to them. These attacks have specific uses in and of themselves, which then expand and grow when combined into chains. For the most part, attack chains are only available in the Offensive stance. More on this later. The wording interests me, 'granted bonuses to combat' leads me to belive that you'll get more of a boost than just the +acc. Of course this could just mean the chain attacks. I also agree with an above poster about the -agro I love the fact that VG is taking that into account. Who out there hasn't been OT (off tank) and ended up stealing agro with out meaning too? :P Defensive Stance +mitigation, +agro, +block chance, - damage When playing in a defensive role, the warrior becomes much more able to take incoming damage, and all attacks generate more hate. New counter-attacks become available only in the defensive stance, and then only when equipping a shield. The defensive stance also have me thinking good thinks. 'all attacks generate more hate' reminds me very much of Dragon Stance on my EQ2 monk, where each hit has a chance to 'proc' for added hate. And having new or 'extra' counter-attacks should add more thought into the 'meat shield' roll, instead of 'tuant' 'sheidl bash' 'taunt' it sounds like you'll have to think about your next move. All around I'm loving the looks of the VG warrior, a nice change from the norm. |

as tazzrin said the offensive stance need a +dmg
also its a shame that we'll only be able to make attack chains in offensive stande , but i hope he defensive stance will offer some nice and enjoyable counterattacks/skills as mentionned in the newsletter. |
