Taunts or Rescues?
Vanguard may have defensive fighters make a choice between training taunts or training rescues. Which will you choose?
Before you make your choice, remember this: Some would say you wouldn't need to train rescues if you master taunts. Vanguard will not have auto agro lock with taunts. Expect agro chaos during engagements. |

i voted taunt....... should make holding aggro easier... and the squishys don't really stand much of a chance even if you get the rescue off on time... they are squishys for a reason...

Unfortunately, the poll that was attached to this post was lost when we switched servers. From now on members who post on this topic should tell us what their choice was within their post. Most usually do anyhow. The last time I remember seeing the poll, the taunts were out ahead by a significant margin

I find myself being drawn more to the taunt side of things. I have a sort of vision of myself being one of the MT's of my guild, and if I'm up there showing some dragon who's boss, I'd rather keep him off of my squishy pals than save them from some puny dragonspawn or whelpling.
There are other tanks...They can meddle with the running and saving. I will sit on my rock and keep that dragon focused on myself, and myself alone. |

Taunt
I will be Taunt all the way. My theory is that if someone really knows how to play their class they should manage their aggro and I shouldnt have to rescue them. Although I do see the advantage of having support "off-tanks" with a mix of both. In multiple mob situations rescue tactics would be used more often however in a 1 on 1 fight it just comes down to aggro management.
