VF - Destroy?

Where did you get Destroy II? What level is it?

You get Destroy II in Graystone, in the Ghoul Wing.

The mobs there are level 40 4 dotters.

strange... I was camping graystone for an entire day, spent most of it in the Ghoul Wing and never got any text regarding Destroy. How long did it take you to get it? and do you remember what mob taught you it?

I was learning them from Rippers. I believe its a level 42 ability.

What about destroy 1 and not 2? I reached 34 and was informed by a couple write ups and posts its a 34 ability....have learned it but it was before the patch regarding learned abilities. Do i need to go re-learn it? where do I do this?

Was killing Rippers in the Ghoul wing yesterday, no update, I'm level 45.

Two points to note....

1) I did not know these where the mobs I needed to kill for it and therefore I didnt take my time with them, although our group isnt too high on the DPS since we have two healers and are only a 5 man team.

2) I don't have Destroy I, missed RoVT completely since I levelled mainly on Qalia, although the Bards are saying many of them skipped their level I learned ability and went straight to number II.

Ok, acquired Destroy II...have some info for ya.

1) I only got one single update, and yet the skill did not appear for quite some time, I saw Destroy pop up in the combat text plenty of times yet rarely got an update.

2) Initially fought a ripper for 15 minutes being healed by a Shaman, he used destroy once only, as far as I can tell for the most part they use it only once on you, not entirely sure of that but our Shaman definately only got one attack per fight from his mobs.

3) Eventually with only recieving one update Destroy II popped up in my abilities book, it had been used multiple times on me at this point.

4) Not sure if it updates from all of them since I only recieved one update anyway but Not only Rippers use Destroy II, I found Rippers, Torturers and Flayers all used Destroy on me.

5) I'm 100% sure that it doesn't work, forced crits on decimate and obliterate and neither will trigger a Destroy II, even when it's on the hotbar it doesn;t light up.

Now, I'm thinking that Learned abilities that are finishers all require you to learn the first version, I did not learn Destroy I from RoVT and recently a new Warrior who trained in Stinging Cut II and skipped Stinging Cut I was not able to use it, the chain box was only added when he trained SCI.

So, despite the fact that you can learn Destroy II from Graystone it may be required that you also learn Destroy I in order to get it to work.

I'll confrim this when I get round to RoTV with my BMG friend sometime.

Ok, headed over to Ruins of Vol Tuniel, acquired Destroy I off of the very first Rotblood Warrior I found, 3 dot 33 I think he was.

Might have been because I already had Destroy II since it took us about 20 kills to get my blood mage friend his own skill, I can get Destroy II to open up as often as I get Decimate and Obliterate.

So, in hindsight you MUST have Destroy I in order to use Destroy II, you can still learn Destroy II but it will never work, this seems to be the case with ALL finishers, the game only adds it to the chain boxes at rank I, so you cant really skip a rank.

So.....

Destroy I (supposedly learned at level 34 although I learned it at 45).

Learned from Ruins of Vol Tuniel on Thestra

Learned from a Rotblood Warrior, 3 dot 33.

Destroy II

Learned from Graystone dungeon in Beranid Hills on Thestra.

Learned from Ripper/Flayer/Torturer in Ghoul wing, level 40 4 dot.

Must be level 42 to learn.

Requires Destroy I before it will activate.
