You learn about Distroy I -- You require more study. You learn about Destroy II!...

Ever seince the last patch, I have been learning "Tactics Recognition". It never leveled before this patch. Today I was playing and hit level 13, and shortly after while doing some quests I missed in the Vengance outpost (Vault of Heroes), I was fighting some Gnolls and kept getting repeated messages saying the following:

"You learn more about Destroy I"
(You require more study)

"You learn more about Destory II"
(You require more study)

Over and over again. Then it kicked me and I logged back in, started fighting again and kept getting the messages. Finially a message shows saying "You've learned more about Destroy II" (A melee attack that deals 400% and adds 3#(insert some numbers here)#(more numbers) damage.

Unfortunatly the last message showed too fast for me too see everything it said.

Anyone have a clue on this? It's very strange.

EDIT: Kept happening and now I'm constantly being logged out to the character selection screen.

Me thinks they slipped in something that shouldn't have gotten out of its cage yet. There is supposed to be a feature that allows some classes to learn moves from their opponents, but I don't think it made release and this just sounds like the learning part without the actual receipt of the ability (do I have it yet, no -- start learning, end learning, fail receive ability -- do I have it yet, no -- start ...).

Hmm. A patch or two ago was indeed the time they added Tactic Recognition as a skill. However I have not had it tell me that I was learning any new abilities - so I assumed it was a skill to determine what stance your opponent is in or somesuch thing.

The Tactic Recognition skill seems to level up in every battle as well.

Yeah it quickly went from 1 to 70 something for me.

I've logged out for several hours now and its still happening so it can't be just me.

I wondered where that had come from hehe. I suddenly saw this new skill leveling like a rocket every fight...not caused me any problems so far though....<touch wood>.

I would /bug that (as a crash problem - in top drop down - so it gets top attention) if if you haven't already. Also maybe try doing a full file scan via the launcher on the odd chance that maybe something got funky with a patch that is causing all this for you. (I have seen it with EQ2)

Its not just you. I've had the same thing happen to me on my warrior from level 1-14 this weekend. Both the "you have learned.." and the boots to char select. Watch your xp bar on the boots to char select, as I lost about 50% of a level somehow during one "crash"

It keeps telling me i've learned more of destroy 1/2, when I already have that skill.. sitting nice and pretty on my reaction bar.

I don't think I have destroy, accually. Guessing it's a level 14 skill?

I have a 9th or 10th lvl warrior and i am getting it too. Once it said i had finished learning it but i didnt get a icon and the next fight it started over again.

I am trying to ignore it lol

I was getting that message shortly after the patch also. Mostly in Skakla Rock sp. I'm currently 25 and haven't seen it again so i'm thinking its bugged. I've learned it 3-4 times now but still don't have the ability. Rumor has it that it is part of the warrior chain that can be used after obliterate.
