edit: If Gnomes are not an option, I'll probably be a Halfling. The bard part is set in stone though!

Since I haven't played EverQuest I feel kind of lost when looking at possible class/race combinations.

I'm a damage dealer at heart, though, so I might end up as a rogue. It all comes down to how the classes end up like at release, of course.

As for the race, I have no idea - I should probably read the official lore to have something to base my decision on.

Don't worry Jaeth, the game may be made by the same folks, but it's still going to be vastly different as far as how everything comes about through lore and whatnot.

Rogues in Vanguard seem to be slightly different of what we have seen in EQ or EQ2 ; they don't appear to be only a damage dealer as they used to be, and they definitly won't be the only melee damage dealer.

Actually, from what I have been reading about Berserkers they seem to be a very cool and, well, different class. I don't know... Will have to try the different classes out at release I guess.

I'd much prefer a stealthy class versus damage monster anyway, it's a nice change of pace.. providing that's what they turn out to be.

I figure I am prolly going to look a bit more into the Inquisitor and whichever is most like a berserker class. Race I won't be able to determine until I know how it is going to affect the class I choose. But I am still open to more options myself.

Beware, the Inquisitor class was said not to be implemented at release date.
Rumor ? I could not say, the fact is that we don't have any informations on this class. Nothing but :
