Couple of gameplay questions

Heyas,

Well second day was a mixed bag. I somehow found myself somewhere I didn't want to be. On the hunt for my horse I picked up four 'You are the first to visit' messages, but ended up being slaughtered over and over by level 30's to the tune of 3/4 of my level 11 xp bar.. I think I went the wrong way. I then proceeded to walk half the map to make a delivery only to find out the dwarves don't like Vulmane. At least not this one.

Anyway, questions I don't know the answer to yet now I'm finally safely back to civilisation, but would be very happy to know:

1. I picked up a dagger with +10% crit but with no damage. It was a parrying dagger of some sort, so I'm assuming I should put that on my offhand. My question is, does the +10% crit mean damage, or chance to crit? And is that 10% an additional 10%, +10% of what I already have?

2. On a related note, will a +10% crit dagger on my offhand apply to all my attacks, or just the attacks made by my offhand?

3. Does the dexterity attribute that increases crit percentage increase damage, or does it increase the chance to crit?

4. Where's the nearest big city to the Vulmane starting area? I followed what I thought was a city on the map, only to find it was a ruin, with people flying around on gryphons and stuff. I decided to leave. The second one had some wolves in that were about level 20. I think I missed something somewhere, cause I haven't seen a proper city yet.

5. Is there a Bazaar in the cities? I think my weapons are quite badly behind my level, and I could do with picking some new ones up. If I knew where do that it would be mighty handy.

And.. I'm sure there was more, which I'll no doubt remember later.

Hey mopy that was me, Vigrid.

1) Just chance to crit.
2) Dagger only, I'd assume.
3) Chance.
4) Halgarad is the biggest city near where you are, I'd assume. I came to your starting point (Dahkarag?) several, several times while doing "Fire" and getting killed. From there only Halgarad is within a "short" walking distance.
5) No clue, I've been relying on drops seince I played My Veranjari Ranger on Qualia during beta, when there was an accual weapon vendor. Havn't seen anything beyond armour yet to be honest.

Hehe heyas,

I just realized it was you from your other post in general. I noticed you said 'The Knight' in your first /tell. Got me confused at the time. Not really surprising seeing as I was working on the other screen, so sorry if I sounded a bit off and un-talkative. I often work and play at the same time.

Anyway, I appreciate the answers, I'll check out Halgarad tomorrow I think. I must have missed it somehow. Break time for me now Nice to know the daggers are chance to crit rather than crit damage too. Exactly what I wanted to hear.

If you want to group up any time, feel free to add me, and we can go kill stuffs.

there are weapon vendors in most, if not all, cities, the ~lvl 10 one is 5sp, as for finding them i would talk to a guard, they tend to know that sort of thing

Yeah, I found some NPC vendors. That's where I got these from. Adventurers, Explorers and Travelers I think the weapons were. It seems to stop at that. Not worry anyway, I just broke myself through training, so I'll have to wait now

I've also noticed generic copper daggers have a +Wis score...why is this??

This is because Novice Blacksmiths don't always have enchanted Ingots to use in Weapons. By default, we can choose to make a "Basic" weapon while leveling, and for every one I have made, it's had +3 WIS to it for some strange reason.

But with special Ingots, we're able to pick between STR, DEX, CON, WIS and INT - I think!

Question When in a group how do you target the leaders target was in a group of 5 didn't know how to target the leaders mob ask them in the group they didn't know either? thanks for the help

Make a macro by right clicking on an empty hotbutton. In the text box for the macro you can put : /assist <insert name of tank here>

edit: The text box you put commands in is the large square box at the bottom. The top 1 line box is for the name of the macro, not commands.

You can also just use /assist without a name and it will assist your defensive target by default.
