Looting options
Hi,
I participated in Beta Stage 5 but it closed all too quickly and I wasn't able to determine the loot options. At present, the game only appears to have a FFA system, first-click wins all. I tried the usual /listcommands route but couldn't find even the most basic commands. Does anybody know what the group loot options are for launch or the available commands to set them? Nice site you have here btw ![]() Thanks for any help you can offer. |

Re: Looting options
The group leader gets to set many different loot options by rt-clicking their name in the group interface.
1. Free for All 2. Round Robin 3. Master Looter 4. Random for <select minimum loot quality here> Also there are options to auto split coin and pass out cash loot (my favorite option). Let me expand on "Pass out cash loot". Some items are purely for sale purposes, Vangaurd knows which items these are, and will distribute them evenly among the group. No need to loot it, just pops into your inventory (if you have room). By using these options not only can you protect the group from loot mongers, but you take alot of the loot tedium out of the way. The only thing to watch out for are people who "Need" during random rolls. Fortunately, in Vanguard, if your class cannot equip an item, you cannot choose Need. That is about all I remember about the loot system in Vanguard. As with all my posts I am speaking from a standpoint of Beta, and things may have changed. Re: Looting options
the lotto option (random for magical is what its called in game) is probably the best incarnation of it ive seen in a game, essentially you have two options when the lotto window pops up, need or greed, you can only click need if you can use it. need rolls take priority over greed roles, so a 100 greed role would be beaten by a 1 need roll, but if two people need it than its just a lotto between them, higher roll gets it.
