As a Kurashasa, the +2 bonus allows you to spend more of your attribute points (a total of 7 per level) on intelligence. You're probably going to end up with the same buffs (giving 2.5 per level) meaning you now only need to find items with 1.5 per level of int, instead of 2.5 per level, to reach the cap.

Basically, it's a nice bonus, but hardly game breaking... Even a race with no bonus (5 per level) should be able to find enough items with +int to have the item contribution be 3.5 per level, getting them to the 11 per level total as well.

So to all those panicing about "messing up" their character by picking the "wrong" race need worry no more as it looks like you can easily max out your characters key stats by max level

Well are there "optimal" races if you are truly a min/maxer to the extreme? Yeah, definitely, but overall racial selection will be more about what kinda of toon you want to play.

stats have never been too much of a deciding factor for me, i usualy go with looks and story, so i think thats kinda cool that you can pick a toon that fits you better and not have to worry bout stats, the stats do help befor you max your level tho right?

They will give you more options in the long run to wear different equipment that might focus on different stats more since you've already maxed out the more important stats.

Eh I will be sick of this game real quick if it boils down to picking the "right" race and the "right" class and getting the "right" stuff.

Eh? there will always be the "right" race and the "right" class with the "right" kit for the min maxers, even in games designed to make this damn near impossible they will find a way. However the game will be perfectly playable whether you have Items X, Y and Z or not. Yes your stats might not be "perfect" but as long as its fun who cares

I think intell and wisdom is important for casters but i read somewhere that another stat importantfor casters not sure weather is vin or dex but it makes the spells strike better sry i forget where i read stuff i read so much on the forms pages trying to learn how to play gets me lost hehe

The soft cap has been raised from 11 x level to 18 x level.
Standard attribute bonus cap per level is 5. There are a couple of races that can raise a specific stat cap to 8 per level. Even at 8 you will still need gear and buffs to reach the cap of 18 per level.

Comparing a race with a cap of 8 to a race to the standard of 5 the end result is that one still needs 10 points per level and the other 13 to reach the level cap for only a difference of 3. In addition the race with the higher primary stat will in all likelyhood be worse off in secondary stats which in VG play a greater role.

Rather than a class being dependent on 1 primary attribute Sigil has given all stats more meaning, making secondary stats more essential. This makes maxing of the primary stat alone far less viable than in other games


WIS is important to all casters as it defines the size of your mana pool.

INT is important to Offensive casters as it affects the damage of your spells. A caster with low INT will do less than the reported damage. Casters with high INT will receive a bonus to their spell damage.

VIT is important for 2 reasons:
1) It affects Heals the way INT affect damage. Someone with a low VIT will heal for less than the reported heal and someone with high VIT will heal for more.
2) In addition VIT affects your in-combat Energy and indirectly out-of-combat regen as out-of-combat regen is determined by in-combat regen.
