Which class do you anticipate having the most dps ... I kno it depends who is sitting behind the keyboard, but i mean using ... spell/combat arts ... who do you think will likely win the parse...

I'd say Rouge. But your right it depends on who uses them, I think Rouge has the most potential.

Rogue and Sorc too i'd say...although depending on the circumstances the druid might compete or be the close second.

Hopefully, there will be 8 classes that are equal in damage and will be differentiated by their utility.

That said, some things do need to balance out a little, such as melee classes having to get close and take AOEs and such whereas ranged casters don't. If melees have a little advantage that is offset by a ranged class being able to do damage safely and at will, then that's still even in my book.

If it's possible to declare any class the top DPSer then there is a serious problem with the game.

Why do you even care who the top DPS class is? Me I like to play the class I think I can enjoy, not the best class at (whatever). It's like the post of What's the best race for X class. Just pick a race that you like and go with it. Who cares if it has 5 less INT points or what ever.

I would care, if I want to effective in a group and I love dps why not get the best class at it. For instance I love ranged melee thats why the ranger in EQ2 is the my favorite charecter, cause he is the best at what he does. If people want to play to there best of there abilities I don't think you should be telling them that there cheapening themselves by looking for the best. That my opinion though, I can't say for others.

Some folks derive their enjoyment from min maxing though so in that case its quite important for them to find the best class/race combo or they'll end up unhappy.
