New poll what type of an adventure class does everyone think should be added, I mean after a while the same old classes get kind of boring dont they? At least for me they do, every once in a while its always nice to see something original and new, instead of the same class with modifications.
Edit: Yes i just listed random names that i think sound interesting..if you dont want to vote for them add your own idea..who knows maybe it will be a future class \\//\\// (()) (()) ""||"". Last edited by Wakygreek : 10-09-2006 at 02:05 PM. |

Re: Ideas for New Classes?
How bout Pollmeister
j/k but you do love your polls dont yas hahaGood point but they have to market a game in some fashion without breaking the bank. Names like ElfPallyMageWarriorPriest etc sure do sell boxes while getting the point of purpose across. |

Re: Ideas for New Classes?
I really liked the names u came up with but i cant choose any of em wakygreek. I need the back-info that goes with each name to choose one.
Drow is a great race to play but all the mmo's have downgraded em as a society. It would be great to see a dwarven smith being whipped while he is repairing a sword, or a kobald being killed because he tried to dart into the crowd at the wrong time. A priestess on a carrry-chair being escorted along the road by her warriors and lesser priestesses would be a nice sight to witness too. |

Re: Ideas for New Classes?
I love pet classes; always have, probably always will.
I liked the Dragoon of FFXI and the Beastlord of EQ..now if you could combine the two, that would be awesome. Dragonmaster: This class starts with a dragon egg, which hatches when the character reaches level 5. At level 5, the baby dragon is just that..a baby. It is not very big at all, maybe a bit larger then a Bixe in EQ. It doesn't do a whole lot of damage, but given it's size and it's ability to fly, it is very hard to hit. When the character reaches level 10, the baby dragon 'grows' a bit, and hit a little bit harder, but still no where near strong enough to solo anything on it's own. By level 25, the dragon is considered a youth, and is about as large as a wyvern in FFXI. It also looses a bit of it's evasion at this level..given it's larger size, but it's hide(scales) has toughened a bit more, so can take a few hits. It can claw, bite and tail whack(or tail rake or some such) and can kill mobs with a bit of help from it's master. By level 40, the dragon is as large as a horse and can be used as a mount. It also has a breath attack and wing wind attack added to it's abilities. It can solo most even con mobs with a bit of help from it's master in the way of buffs and healing. The Dragonmaster itself would be an offensive fighter type, with skills and abilities intended to assist their pet. Before level 25 most of the damage they do comes from themselves, after level 25, damage comes from their pet moreso then from the master. By level 50, 80% of their damage comes from their pet. Small self heals, larger pet heals, mitigation buffs for pet, group buffs protecting against breath attacks, pet procs and not much more than that. I love the idea of a pet that 'grows' with it's owner. Probably why I enjoyed the Beastlord class in eq a bit more then the Dragoon in FFXI. ~Elden |

Re: Ideas for New Classes?
In one of my many conversations with Gares, he came up with a class called a bloodmancer or something like that, where all of this casters powers pertained to the blood. Bloodmancers would be able to boil blood, dry your blood, hemorrhage you, create a blood creature, curse you, place blood talisman buffs on friends, etc. We also explored the notion of spells requiring other spells to be cast before the next one would be able to take effect. For example you would have to cast a rain seed dmg (aoe) spell to the ground, then the next spell you cast it would be an upheavel spell which would cause the ground to heave up and cause direct dmg, but would only work if you cast the previous seed rain dmg aoe spell. I'd like to see classes more involved than just clicking spells and going, it's been done before it's time for a change.

Re: Ideas for New Classes?
Well, more or less thats what i said, i mean i really didn't give it a name(if i had to give them a name i would say Bloodist...lol, just kidding), i was really just complaining about the blood type class that they have in this game, and how it shouldn't be a healer type but an offensive type. And to clarify it was after the rain type spell with the blood now all over the ground the character could cause the blood to spike up and pierce through the enemies. And of course the kicker to all the spells, being that they require blood is that just casting the spells would damage the enemy by draining their blood to cast the spell(that blood has to come from somewhere) so they damage the enemy by stealing their blood and then again by the spell itself. Of course some peolpe might think this is just too powerful so as a drawback, to cast spells the caster also has to use some of his blood(life) to cast the spells too. Thats at least what i think the blood class in this game should of been like.
