I seem to recall a recent thread on the OVFs regarding just that problem. I think Brad said they wouldnt be useless but they wouldnt be as effective as someone who gained all the skills on the way up through the content. It kicked off a real firestorm.

Probably wont be able to turn off combat experience gain if TLC stays in the game since that would defeat one of the goals of TLC which is to prevent farming.

I see your point.

Everquest 2 had the option to turn off combat experience.

The reason why I wanted the option to turn off experience is because I plan to play on a one character only server, however if I am able to learn spells or combat arts off mobs that is already trivial to me, then I will not need to turn off combat experience.

I hope I can still hand in quests that are far below me, another feature I liked in EQ2 after they patched that in. I was an Erudite shadow knight in eq1 and had a job to do for the shadow knight guild, could not get the paper off the mob I needed in Highkeep because of trivial loot code.

If anyone know if it would be possible to learn spells/arts off trivial mobs, please post here, as I would like to know.

You know the only thing that botherd me about eq1 was the cookie cutter bard songs. One new spell an expansion really blew. Yes you got more but they were just upgraded songs from earlyer levels, And not really that big of upgrades and in one or two cases even took a step back.

For twisting reasons DoT's for bards were ok as they could be twisted and stacked. but getting a new mez song every 5 levels kinda sucked. Best bard song IMO was selos. You got it at level 5 and grew EVERY level. (selos was the bards "run song") Yes alot of songs grew too but were just not that great.

If you work your combat arts up why not the spells , as far as getting 3 different of spell levels, not sure that I would go with that pending on how they would accomplish it. would be a plus for spell crafters. In EQ2 finding spell books was a pain. In soom case the they needed to be more random esp. when they are found in loot.

Let me guess egamegold, English is not your first language or you are playing a game.

If you are serious then you have come on to the wrong forum.

Vanguard is a game that is aimed at players who do not buy their gold and prefer to level up themselves. I suggest you look elsewhere.

Doing business with with them would cause great unhappiness as it would mean loss of my account.
