I have never been on a real raid but have been in mass battles and in my experience everytime lots of players get together the lag starts. Also I cannot ever see the point in doing the same dungeon 20+ times in order to get a bit of gear that enables you to do another dungeon 20+ times in order to get a bit of gear that enables you.................

Me neither... I hope V:SoH will have some kind of meaningful end-game. But then again, crafting and diplomacy might be just that. Or, level an alt - with the possibilities offered by the game, I think I'll be entertained for at least a few years - and hopefully longer.

I suggest a solution but it is too radical for most players..
question - What level are you in real life? You have all sorts of social status like our qualifications, jobs. items like cars and houses provide status as well. The idea that your character starts as a weedy runt and slowly turns into a god will one day be considered an aboration. Your stats will only change a bit and then go down as well as up. Success will be judged on your skills and social status within the game world. The whole idea of an end game will dissappear to be replaced by reputation. Role playing can return as each player can live out their fantasy (is that not what its all about anyway?) Taking away the need to provide a continuous rise in content difficulty to cater for character leveling which slowly reduces the available game world. without levels the entire game world available to all players all the time. |
