There's a solution though : 1000 mobs with 1K Health Points instead of 1 mob with 1million HP. |

Re: Poll: Raid Size!
I would like to see the majority of Vanguard’s raid content focus on 18-24 man groups. This does not mean that this should be the cap to any dungeon, it would be great to see some larger areas to explore ass well, but rather that the focus should remain on smaller groups. I have found that a focus on large-scale raid content does not include the sense of “epicness” that many players often associate with it. In fact, it seems that the smaller group encounters tend to be the most enjoyable; the saying “quality over quantity” comes to mind...

Re: Poll: Raid Size!
Aye.. I feel smaller(yet big enough to not be just one group) encounters are the most challenging. Because there is more weight on me to do my job the right way. With only 10 people, you may only have 2-4 healers max... if one of them screws up.. you lost 25-50% of your healers. In big raids(54+) oh well... you only lost like <5%. In addition, in general when someone dies.. you still have 53 people.. it doesn't really sting. Going from 10 people to 9 people hurts...

Re: Poll: Raid Size!
Agree with Nabren and the numbers. Once you make it a military style raid, and have large numbers it allows the non hackers to slip thru the cracks. I would like to see the guild size not to be an issue but the raid size to be lesser, only allow the large raid necessary for later expansions. Also in that I would like to see the raid size not even be an issue~. If you want to bring 40 people to a 20 or 30 man area then so be it. Sometimes over kill can be fun, I mean the mob usually only drops a few items so it doesnt benefit if you over kill. (maybe not.
)I ran through RFC last night for the first time in a real group. I have always had it done for me by a higher level. What a good time, the lower instances are. I hope Vanguard touches this aspect and remembers that the lower levels can be fun too, and put good detail in the content for the low level intrigue. "Also roled a priest, not too bad, never thought I would enjoy it. I tip my hat to you dedicated healers. Many times I wanted to try a smite or a few other offensive moves, but when a tank has 7 mobs on him you must resist the urge. " |
