Re: Classes: The Number Game
I for one am all for the different continents having strengths and weaknesses. It will add a more localized feel to it and really stress travel even more.

Re: Classes: The Number Game
I'm getting the impression that Kojan is going to be somewhat smaller in size than both Thestra and Qalia. I believe Brad referred to is as an archipelago, though they still consider it a continent because of it's size.
I'm thinking it will be the Odus of Telon, for any EQ1 players. It will have substantial content, but perhaps not enough to harbor players from 1-50. This may or may not have a correlation to the amount of races/class combos that can start there; I don't know. This is all speculation on my part, but I'm thinking that might be the case. The idea of an asian influenced continent really has me interested, so I'm hoping the size is substantial. |

Re: Classes: The Number Game
Dont forget that the sea is intended to be a gameplay area so the "continent" of Kojan includes it.
Just pure speculation but I suspect the pirates are based there. For my part Kojan sounds like a dream for us explorer types. |

Re: Classes: The Number Game
Well yeah, I'm a sucker for asian mythology and scenery as well
Thestra is looking beautiful, but I'm somewhat worn on the traditional fantasy gig. Qalia looks very cool too, but I always consider deserty places somewhere I'd adventure towards... Not call home.

Re: Classes: The Number Game
An interesting quote from Brad, for you Kojanese:
"We will launch with 3 major areas, 2 of which are huge and typical continents (Thestra and Qalia) and one of which is a large archipelago of islands that range from small islands to rather large ones (the Kojanese Archipelago)." From the sound of it, Kojan is going to be smaller. Thestra/Qalia = Huge, Kojan = Large. ![]() |
