Re: Video of the Races
Those fox looking people remind me of Starfox, sorta. I truely hope the game is as customizable as they claim. I remember when SoE made a claim like that, and then ended up scrubbing a few of the facial changes because of memory. I read that they solved that problem here, by basically giving everyone the same face/body model, but the faces have enough changes (where it counts) that they actually look like different races.

Re: Video of the Races
Correct there is one universal bipedal model that is kept in memory and then each race has various maximum and minimum settings that allow them to deform the model. This allows for a massive memory savings. This savings is further accentuated since the developers dont have to keep 20 different versions of the same armor in memory for each model, they can just scale and deform those as well. Furthermore Vanguard also employs a layering system so its possible to actually remove parts of your armor and see other layers of clothing underneath them which can also be changed or modified individually. Its a much more advanced system than the one we got used to in EQ1.

Re: Video of the Races
Not bad graphics... just if they would have used some sort of recording device other than a video camera for their big movie; being my only problem with the short clip. So far it's looking good, and hopefully doesn't fall into the same problems that seemed to plague eq2 and whatnot. Lets hope it comes out somewhere past decent.
