The Silky Venom reports are very well done as well and have some really exciting information like this little tidbit.

Personally I've always loved in-depth combat, not just your usual hack fest. It looks like this is the direction that Vanguard is going:

I really hope that the complexity of this game scares off the kiddies... but is easy for us adults to pick up on at the same time.

Yeah I think Vanguard will prove to be a much more in depth game that will force us to relearn how to game all over again instead of relying on our skills built to date.
