Seems like they are doing a good job of making all the different classes feel unique while retaining their ability to perform their archetypical duties on par with each other. That means Paladins should look forward to being able to tank as well as a warrior for the first time in any MMO I've ever played which is alot!

Re: Class Changes

Sounds good - Paladins in WoW were disappointing. I was expecting something a bit different. The Vanguard Paladin is shaping up well, just like the Druid! With expansions, extra classes is a great idea as long as the new classes do not weaken, or hurt a pre-existing class. The more I read on Vanguard, the happier I get. Hopefully I will be able to play the game at release, and not have a forced delayed of (weeks?) as I live in another country. Blizzard got that right at least with a world wide start.

Re: Class Changes

I read the interview and I like the direction Sigil are taking the Paladin. Inferior healing to a true healing class and does well against undead. Very nice... Reminds me a lot of the D&D 3.5 and Diablo 2 paladins in regards to abilities and their use. Still like the Druid though! :P

Im curious about what part concerns you. At least from my perspective Darrin's explanation of the class is exactly what all my friends who play paladins have wanted for years. In both EQ and WoW paladins were relegated to off tanking at best and in WoW they are more a glorified buff bot and healer. What kind of abilities were you looking for in Vanguards Paladins?
