Great Spear <--> Spear and Javelin Skill?
Hi!
Well, I just switched to a great Spear with my Dread Knight. Fighting with that spear continually increases my two-handed Piercing skill ... that's fine. However: It does not increase my Spear and Javelin skill nor does it doesn't increase any other weapon spec skill either. Is that weapon meant to have no associated skill, is this a general bug oder does it happen only to me?  Thanks for your help in advance! LLAP! Helios |

That's not the issue ... unfortunately. It doesn't matter wheter spear only is set to + or all skills. (which I did later just to test whether the weapon was accociated with some other skill by error)

The only specialization that should go up while using a great spear is the great spear specialization. I do not believe spear/javelin will ever go up while in close combat. That would be a specialization under the general skill throwing I believe.
