Mounted Combat
This is something I have wanted to see ever since mounts were introduced into EQ. I don't just mean fighting on your horse, I would like to see certain combat skills that require a mount to be used and the appropriate equipment. What could be more knight like than charging into combat on your trusty steed while wielding a lance.

I would love to see mounted combat. If you ever played Dynasty Warriors, you know how fun mounted combat can be. Mounted combat has always been a backbone for many real life battles in history, and I'm surprised to see that it hasn't made its way into very many current and past MMOS.
Anyways, I'm definitely open to the idea and how Sigil considers it  |

The last I heard there won't be mounted combat by launch, but that's because Sigil want to make it something very special and actually have mounted combat as a distinct system from foot combat.
I am really looking forward to that! :kitteh:

Truthfully, mounted combat hasn't been that great in the games I've seen...... unless Sigil takes a lot of time and gets it in well, I wont be interested
 As of now im fine with fighting on my own two-feet. |

the thing about that is i really cant see a group of mounted combatants fighting a single monster. just doesnt seem to be realistic in that sense. i'm curious to see if mounted combat will be more of a PvP thing than PvE

I am looking forward to it being implemented. I will thoroughly enjoy my flying drake mount spewing fiery liquid upon the denizens of Vanguard.

Aye Taz, if anything, I'm just looking forward to a wide variety of mounts, including aerial mounts. Not just drakes either, but griffons, bats, hawks, and others. Hopefully they get the flying animation looking smooth as well. Fire breating? Not so sure they'll allow that in game, would be great at first, but could be abused if not limited severly in some way (Imagine a raid of 30 dragon riders falling out of the sky and spewing flames all over the Giant Lord on the ground below, who is helpless to reach them).
I'm also hoping those huge ships in some of the current screenshots are available to players. Then we really could be, the Dread Pirate Roberts! lol Ellestil |

Swooping down on a target from above and landing an attack on them while your mount clawed and raked would be unreal...
Just flying down and jumping off (some special attack) to drop in on a mob from above would be cool!
