Vid cards

I get way too much lag in populated areas (like cities -- I almost can't move in New Targonor as soon as I enter the lamplighter district).

So what's a good mid-priced video card I could get that would eliminate a lot of this llllllaaaaagggggg?

edit: comp is less than a year old and my card is PCI-E apparently (location according to adapter properties is "PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0"). Also, since I have 2 GB of ram, a 2.8 GHz processor and a 250 GB hard drive that is 2/3 free space, I'm fingering the fairly lowish vid card as the source of my lag issues (GeForce 7300 LE). I may be wrong but it could use a better vid card anyways.

Sorry for this but I have to ask (it's the hazard of working in my line of business),

What is your price range? Sometimes lag is not video card related and I want to make sure that this is the only bottleneck in your system. I *still* get lag in some area's and I'm running a 7800GT (I'm hoping to eliminate this with a RAM upgrade and SLI-ing another video card... and raiding my drives).

If you tell me max price I can look for some Nvidia cards for you (not that there are not other good cards out there, I just have had fewer problems with Nvidia cards than with others when used for gaming. Perhaps someone else can recommend other good gaming video cards made by other manufacturers)

Don't forget, we need to know if her graphics port is AGP or PCI-E. Something else that I did was bought a second hard drive for nothing buy my MMOs. Left everything on the primary, put the games on it, and really reduced the hitching. Still does it, of course, but not as bad.
