Things wear out. Personally I'm all for permenent decay
I'm sorry. I should have been more clear. I meant I don't understand why those things decay during combat. I understand normal use. But I don't understand why crafting clothing takes hits during combat. (Unless that is the only time I notice is after combat, which is possible considering what a dork I am. )

Re: Proposal: A change to Soulbound

they do decay from battle. i've repaired all of my things before, gone and fought, then repair again just to see that my diplo gear took more hits than my combat armor.

i guess i could see it though, as you are carrying the bags with the stuff in them and your enemies could hit the bag, but then why don't bags need repairing?

I like the idea, actually gives me a reason to soulbind my gear, now I dont bother because I dont wont to loose money from a possible future sale, but this will balance it with saving me money.

I agree with you there ..unless it's to represent the unseen sword blow or arrow thru the invisible pack the gear is stored in while fighting.

Re: Proposal: A change to Soulbound

Well, it seems we have a majority winner.
Now, since I am not a coder, game engineer, or anything other than a rabid fan of this game, this idea may very well not be feasible. However, if it is, I think this could be a good solution to some of the problems. This way, changes could be made to the death penalty, if they so desire, and Soulbound is still a viable part of the game.

Just 2 coppers worth from a rather large Barbarian Warrior ingame.

Re: Proposal: A change to Soulbound

Just came across something on another MMO forum. I no longer expect any replies to game change suggestion threads due to possible legal actions.

Let me explain. Let's say that player X makes a suggestion on this forum. A dev comes in, sees it, and acknowledges that this is a good idea. This idea then makes it into the game. This is a great idea, and causes subscriptions to increase and more money to flow into the Sigil coffers. Player X could then sue on the grounds of intellectual rights and claim that Sigil now owes him a percentage of the increased revenue.

Therefore, I will never again expect, or even hope, for some kind of response when it comes to suggesting a change or addition to this game. I will, however, continue to suggest such things that I feel might help.

SMOKE BREAK!!!!!!!!!
