If nothing else it'll highlight the huge gap in complexity between LOTRO and VG. Note, I am a fan of complexity... even if it causes a zillion bugs. This was not an unbiased announcement.

(No, I'm not bashing LOTRO. It's just not my thing - not for more than a few weeks, anyway, and I've been-there-done-that already.)

I was in from pretty early too. I logged in all of three times. I knew very quickly that game wasn't for me. I really didn't like the style of graphics and how boxed in I felt. Felt like a virtual Disneyland with a lotr theme more then a virtual world. I really didn't like the class choices either.

Ya I gave up on it when VG released. Mostly only played it because I was sick of WoW and DAoC. Although lately one of my friends has been using all of her female powers to persaude me into coming back. I guess there have been a lot of additions lately that make it interesting. So with VG Test down and I hate the communities on the live servers I have tried I thought I'd check out LoTR again.

Amazing. I did a trial of WoW... and I've played VG. I guess I must have a different definition of "clone" in mind.

Well a vision of a game that was not going to be a simplistic leveling process followed by a then improvement to xp (??? amazing it was fast enough as was) and then to make it even faster they lower the mob health now the proposed changes to death xp the original posted vision led none of this to be thought the game was supposed to cater to groups if you play as you must do please enlighten me on what a 3 dot mob is supposed to be is it meant to be some easy to make xp for a soloist as it is now or is that a glitch? i leveled to 30 in 4 days without trying particularly hard and i played a monk ( could not stand listening on live servers to them cry about their nerf so i played one to have a look myself) this game was supposed to be ground breaking a 3rd gen please tell me what is different except the interface? All i see here is a bunch of things that will/might/possibly introduced that might just make it unique but in the over all context of the game and its mechanics nothing is different its the same old same old with a different coating of paint now if and when we all get to see raid zones/griffons/fellowships the um "unique" stuff then just maybe i will pop on here and amend my words but as of this moment it is a game that is catering to a very under developed gaming crowd and while im sure this suits some maybe even you i am not on that side of the fence and so i feel as im sure you do that each opinion counts anything you feel i have missed or not explained please feel free to post away it is a totally open discussion but do not for one minute pressume that you understood my comments as these people i play with on test and if you read through the whole post you will see it went from serious to a bit of fun why i also put i couldnt resist on the original post but there i have laid out what i now truley think so post away prolly got another 12 hours before test is up anyway.

And, frankly, no I don't play anymore. I've moved on from Telon for other lands.
