If the database is really messed up this is the best chance they'll ever have to wipe the slate clean and make us all restart.

I wouldn't mind, considering that a new start would mean a far more stable run than what we have seen since Test launched, considering that we drag characters from early beta stages with us, which practicly garanty hidden or long forgotten outdated bugs reappearing.

Considering that Test runs with a avarage population of 50 - 100 it runs far more laggy and crashes far too often then it should considering the load it deals with.

I'm far from trying to tell Devs/Sigil what to do with their database but if I would have ever tried to build an office database on top of experimental beta data I'd not have lived to tell about it.

So ... whatever you do, Dear Devs, do it right and give us Test back... soon (TM).

Elrar thanks for popping in and typing shame others could not make an effort oh while i am here aredhel want me to post the time that the devs who posted were posting? That way you will understand the frustration of being treated like a second class citizen on test. nearing 48 hours and so far we got a huge responce of oh wait yep thats right elrar saying ill give them a call and the update from that was oh nothing yes its all panned out brilliantly for the test community we got nothing not a they are looking into it its a restart its a wipe i wouldnt even care if they typed the hampster died and they were having a damn funeral for it but again we sit with no real responce. If you want a community to believe a word you say try starting with honest replies and as much as elrar was going to see what he can do i guess he could do ummm nothing but i guess coming to test for the more interaction with the devs and try to help out is worth nothing until it suits them.
The reply from Elrar was nothing but throwing a dog a bone the thread was getting bigger and so he felt compelled to say something as the community liason (which i believe is his job). Now i see from the replies after that that some of the people were greatful i too would of been but lets face it it made no difference and still not one person has had the common courtesy to give us an eta hell next tuesday would of been fine i could go to live and play i guess that could be an opinion of people and a very valid one but i play on the test server i accept that test can be down at any time i accept that test will have problems what i dont accept is the flagrant disregard for our community it may be small but most of us are seasoned MMO players who do not and will not accept this type of behaviour from the company we are trying to assist.
My main bugbear is in the 12 hours since Elrars post and them "going to work on it" it has never been brought down once now if they were working on it and it was a DB issue or hardware issue or what ever the issue why have they in that 12 hours not brought the server down? surley if the server is not responding to players connecting the first step would be to take it offline and test it? character select is still up no problems as it was 50 hours ago when it crashed the state of it has not changed nor has it changed in those 50 hours so while i may seem like im just over reacting i am only typing these things in responce (or lack of responce when i origanally posted) to what we are being told.

I appreciate and share the frustration that the lack of communication from Sigil has generated but being pragmatic about it, we need to accept that this incident occurred over a weekend and as such there was no one around to provide any information or to even look at the server.

Whilst the live servers may well have a SLA that covers availablity and 24/7 support I strongly suspect that this is not true for Test (based on the fact that CS does not extend to TEST). Its one of the things we sign upto when we choose to make TEST our home.

It is now however rapidly heading for Monday morning in the US and if communications continue to remain as poor as they have been I may have to borrow your hymn sheet.
