I think Poldera is most likely on the right track. I would be surprised if there was much of a staff about on the weekend. While I would like to see a dev pop in an give us a heads up, it is possible that whoever is minding the fort doesn't really know.

Personally, I am going to take the time to take my kid to see a movie. Probably something with penguins

Yes but. How much effort would it take for Elrar or one of the other devs lurking around to post and say, Yes, we're aware of it, we're working on it? Really, how much effort would it take? They take the time to read the dreck in the death mechanics thread, surely they can take one minute to post an acknowledgement that they know Test is borked.

That's really all we want to hear, after all.

I dont think they care. In game petitions just vanish. I know im not the only who sent out PM's and petitioned. Theres no way they are clueless on any of this they just dont care.

I am trying not to sound sarcastic. I am sure that the folks who spent years developing this game care. I also think someone should pop in and pat our heads and tell us that they are aware of the problem. However in the grand scheme of VG there are probably what a 100 players affected? That being the case I can see why it doesn't take top priority.

Yeah it still sucks. But thats part of the risk of being on the test server. To me its worth it, 'cause I love playing with you folks. Playing on a live server is annoying at times. We have a great quality of people on test, and I look forward to joining you all when things ar undiscombobulated.

Yeah, if they haven't been in here by now i doubt they will be until just before the server comes back.

Seen this happen allot of times on EQ, and EQ2, still ticks me off, but what can you do?

I made test my home, and so I will wait til it comes up, patiently or no, I will wait.

Petitioning GMs on live servers isn't going to help Test players a whole lot. The GMs *might* be able to pass such information up the channels, but there's nothing they can do, personally, given what they're there for. Thus, having petitions deleted when there are probably a gazillion legitimate, that-server related ones in the queue, is not a huge surprise.

Like Truly I'm not being sarcastic, and I know we all want to either see Test up and running or *some* sort of comment acknowledging that the brown stuff hit the power supply fan. But some methods will work, and some won't.

It's a weekend. We want to play the game we pay for, but these are human beings we're talking about - they're fallible and they need time off too.

Now I'm off to ... do something, anything ... to burn off all that damned coffee that's giving me the jitters! *twitch* Truly, this is ALL your fault!

I'm sure they know by now. Probably safe to assume it will be Monday before it will be available. Total guess but, perhaps they need to leave it in the state its in so they can figure out what went wrong when they get into work on Monday.

I'm not willing to accept any excuse for this. With the state the game is still in there is ZERO reason that someone shouldn't be there on the weekend. As for someone not noticing, hmmm.....zero traffic on the test server on a weekend. I think that should make SOMEONE sit up and take notice.

Just relax Dark, it's test, we have no guarantee of any sort of service from the devs, or anyone else. We play there out of choice, and if they wanted too could turn the whole thing off and not give us a reason or explanation.

I have no clue as to what is happening, but it probably has to do with out DB issues over the last few days. My guess is that the code has had a major malfunction and they are doing all they can to fix that before doing nay more testing of content.

Without the DB fix we can't really test much of anything considering that effects everything from loot to location saves.

IF the Database is the issue they are down for they are doing us a favor by keeping us out of test,and not getting in someway corrupted.

If that means being down for an undetermined period of time so be it.

But if a dev is lurking, give us a hint please.
