This is a copy / paste from another forum on the site, but I'm guessing the TC folks (maybe with any luck a dev) might have a better idea.

I logged into test center and realized that the combat text I had there is in these great easy to see color coded blurbs.

Like so:


My current live version is basically white/gray and looks like this:


I've gone over all the colors and check boxes in the different options and honestly can't see anything different.

Any ideas? I'd love to have the color in live like I do in test, makes it a lot easier to see and look back for things when I need to.

I am just guessing that this is a change that has made it to test but not to live yet. I haven't looked at My live chat, but my test chat looks like your post.

I would log into test and look at it, but thats another story

I could swear there was a test patch note a while back about colouring such text... time to hit the search function. Will edit if I find it. Meanwhile, don't believe everything you hear.

All I know is the colored is awesome. Just one of those little touches that looks great, is definitely easier to scroll back through and look at. I noticed it about 2-3 weeks ago, but was too lazy to take / post the screenies. Which I knew if I didn't people would have no clue what I was talking about.

Yep. 'Boxed' on both.

delete the vgclient.ini in the bin folder of the install that has no color. You will have to rest all your hotkeys back up and whatnot but it wil lfix the issue.
do not do a uiload <name> on that or it will just go back to being no color.

I assume this is a short term expedient until a real fix is available for live.

well, the reason this happened is due to some changes we made during beta. I have not seen this happen to anyone that bought release and never played Beta.

which, makes me ask if Feds was in beta, cuz if not then we may have a new issue.
