Test Server is up but locked until 10:30AM PST
We are going to be bouncing the server a few times to watch the DB loading cycle, once those tests are done I will unlock it so we can start testing all the changes.
I expect to be finished in about 45 Minutes! Nam |

Nam, how accurate do you expect the XP progression testing here to be? I notice it was already pushed to the live servers. Won't you get much more accurate numbers from there, where people group together and have more diverse playstyles instead of just soloing?
I'm just a bit confused as to why remove the double XP from here when the new rates already got pushed to live and we simply don't have the resources to test them as we should... Crafting XP is one thing, its only soloable, but the dynamics for adventurer progression are like night and day compared on Test and Live. And speaking of crafting XP, are there plans to increase the multiplier here on test? Also, the new sound card change, does this mean we can use EAX and the like now? |

Alot of us toggle back and forth from test to live looking at the new changes, although test server seems to be home to alot of permanent peoples it is hard to give you guys the testing sphere necessary to progress. I noticed a surge of players coming in for the 3X crafting xp but left as soon as it was over. There are only a hand full of people actually going beyond the 3x xp range and crafting higher levels to test with, which makes it a 8-10 person focus group. Some of the crafting spheres are not being tested and buggy quests are the result. With adventure xp it is hard to find groups to level with and test out group quests, allowing us to skip certain quest lines that should be tested. I know I found and bugged 2 quests yesterday that could have more problems further along the quest line but was unable due to group requirements. I also understand that some players do not want to have increased xp changes due to having test as a home and feel like they are being removed from competitive live server enviroments. These are just thoughts on the current test server status and of course you guys know whats best ![]() |
