Anyone tried the DuskUI?
I just installed this yesterday. DuskUI is the first UI I have used since installing DroxUI back around Beta 3 or Beta 4.
So far, I am loving it. I just wondered if anybody else had given it a shot. FYI, I am using the DuskUI Alternative by techywarrior.

Re: Anyone tried the DuskUI?
Dusk looked good, but I'm happy with Drox. After hours of fiddling to get it "just right" I'm going to leave it be for a while.

Re: Anyone tried the DuskUI?
Not trying to "make a sale" here, but the design of the DuskUI uses DDS format for the images. This makes the files smaller and causes less strain on the GPU. When Nadger started making the original DuskUI, he said he did so with the idea to make something that could be more performance-friendly than the original UI.
I think he succeeded. I was telling Shayalyn in IM last night about my experiences with it. I was getting 30-35 FPS inside a cave filled with mobs. This almost never happened for me with the default or DroxUIs. I will try to test more soon in a crowded area like Khal. And for the curious, here are my specs: P4 dual core 3 GHz cpu 1.76 GB RAM GeForce 7600GT 256MB gpu boring HDD I typically run a shade toward the performance side of balanced with tons of ini tweaks. Prior to installing DuskUI, I was getting 30-40FPS in open fields. 15-20 FPS in dungeons. 5-10 FPS in crowded areas, especially crafting halls. More tests coming soon.

Re: Anyone tried the DuskUI?
Go nuts!! (you may have to register)
What is this FPS you speak of, Ralsu? Okay, maybe I'll have to give this new UI a spin... but I *finally* got comfy with Drox's... *mutter*

If you are not already registered for the site Ysharros linked to, you can download it |HERE| for free.
I haven't officially announced that page to the pubic yet because I still need to upload the installation instructions. Perhaps I'll go add that now. Just come back here and let us know how you like it.
