Unicorn And shadow hound

anyone know what lvl range is enough to get these mounts?

on the forums at vgbards someone said the mobs toward the end are lvl 26 3 dots for the unicorn. don't know how accurate that is, but i remember reading that it was going to be mid 20's to 30.

I believe the quests have a lvl 20 minimum requirement, and there's a 3-page thread on the Shadow Hound on VGNecro, I didn't quite look into it 'cause I'm going for a Unicorn (hehe, a Necromancer on a Unicorn...) but I believe they've discussed most of the finer points. As for a Unicorn, I'm going to do everything in my power to track one down.

I can tell you that for the Unicorn you need to goto 'Lakeview' In thestra.

There is an island in the middle of this lake called Island of Zhur! - the mobs there are lvl 21(odd) 3 to 4 dot. There are quests nearby to kill these mobs!

Having the quest to kill the mobs isnt nessesary, but they do 'drop' an upside down horn, which is one of those 'right click to start a quest' type item.

you have to gather some silly amount of flowers something like 150 (of three different types) once you have these flowers you use them to summon the 'zhar leader' at the alter on this island.

Once you kill this leader.. well... my details are hazy from here on, but I beleive you have to go and search for lost unicorns across all of telon! and to find these you possibly have to do additional quests..

Im not really sure, but this is what I have gatherd so far, it takes ALONG TIME! and speed buffs are your friend but once you have started the quest line im certain the rest will be self explanitory.

Personally, Im just gona buy a camel!

Oh, btw, I dont think you need to be of a certain race.. you just need the correct amount of faction.

Just a quick update. It is 30 Red, 30 Violet, and 40 Yellow flowers to be picked.

my main is a lvl 23 bard on shidreth, before the updates yesterday i clocked about 193% average speed so i don't need a mount, I just think shadowhounds are cool especially since i play a DE.

though it will be funny to see dark elves running around on pearly white unicorns.

Questline for Unicorn consists of roughly 30 quests, that take you all over Telon, and grinding kills, waiting for random drops, ect.

Once you finish the whole questline, you need 10 gold to be able to get the Unicorn.

Also you have to be lvl 30 to ride it.

A bit of a bummer for me, but I'm still getting it, I'm not giving up like other wussies I know. j/k

Only 3 lvls, and 7 gold to go....not to mention finishing the quests.... I'm on part 6 so far.

But my high-elf cleric will look soooo divine on her unicorn.

That is until I swap it in for a pegasus.
