Soulbinding and you

I realise this will not be much of a data set to draw conclusions from, but having heard both "most people I know soulbind their stuff" and "most people I know don't soulbind their stuff" I was wondering what the proportions really are.

I'm keeping this deliberately simple (yes, that's very difficult for me ).

In my own case, I started out by soulbinding most of my stuff, till I realised it would be more efficient for me not to, so that I could pass it down to alts or friends. Then again, I don't adventure all that much and I almost never dungeon-crawl, so my corpses are usually quite easy to recover.

i dont bother, because as a caster i can be almost as effective without gear so it seems pointless since it gets rid of sellability and does little for me.

I haven't souldbound a single thing... but I'm poor. grinding on the test server takes money man!

Nope, unless it's auto-bind I never bother soul binding.

So I guess I am the first one here soulbinding stuff. Maybe it's a matter of inexperience, but i do soulbind my stuff. I solo a lot and many of the items have the buffs to increase intelligence or wisdom that I need has a caster. Because i venture out into areas that I probably shouldn't trying to do it solo I can get easily killed. If I soulbind I increase my chances of getting my corpse back in one run instead of 10.

Bad me, should be more careful. Actually after my first multiple corpse runs I have become more careful.... but still soulbind

I don't think it's a matter of experience, I think it's a matter of preference and personal pragmatism. Since I don't (hardly) ever have to do difficult corpse recoveries, there's little point binding stuff; if I did, I might be singing a different tune.

That said, I *do* carry a couple of bits and pieces of gear in my saddlebags, since those aren't dropped on death. That I mostly forget they're there when I die and then don't use them anyway... isn't relevant.

I said yes, but really, I only soulbind the minimum I can get away with. For my offensive fighters that means basic armor and best weapons (early teens).

I have 2 sets of armor that I carry around. One for healing/grouping and one for tanking/soloing. One of them is soulbound. But... I have a weapon that's of yellow rarity. So I didn't soulbound that. Instead I have a blue rarity crafted weapon that I soulbound.
