I agree, but this poll was started before BoE, so im certain it would effect peoples voting now...

even less of a reason to soul bind now, unless they apply an additional benefit for using a crystal to soulbind an item I cant see binding crystals making much of a comeback.

after having played and actually looked at my toons. I only play on test. most of the gear I get is from missions - most of my gear is soulbound.... but I don't pay for it

You pay for it in time spent.. time is money, everything costs something.

In anycase, there is a difference between doing a quest to gain a peice of armor which is soulbound, to making the concience decision to purchase and use a binding crystal.

I did all the URT missions to get the armor from that, but that took me many days to complete! days I could have easily spent farming gold to purchase better items, items which I could re-sell.

And when I come to upgrade my URT armor, well im not going to get anything back for them

But my reward in this case was the gaming experience and exploration! if I only saw items and gold as the reward then id probably just sit there all day and craft.

when it comes to gaming - I don't put much stock into the "time is money" arguement. i guess I don't buy into the "well of course you spent time on it, so you spent something. In game, choices matter, if I choose not to spend cash on it, I spent nothing.

if my stuff is soul bound because I adventured for them then I gained much more than 30c could have gotten me. I gained the adventuring experience, the thrill of exploring the world and the piece of armor as well

but that is my playstyle - ymmv
